This year has been strange, fascinating, new… All the things I know, the people that come and go, sit silent in my imagination. I speak without words and taste a God-given solitude. How beautiful, how tepid, lost like a dream forgotten.

Timelessness embodies the words my spirit delights in, and a comfort overwhelms. There are mysteries greater than the universe, quiet secrets breathed into all existence. The stars shine, bright angels in realms no eye has seen. The battles within and without all that we know, the one and only God who chose never to let us go.

I see a cross, and a man who fell beneath it. I feel the blood and tears of history, and my sin falls when it collides with eternity. A culmination of man’s evil desires, an abandonment of God’s only Son. What do we know and how shall we understand, the mystery of divine love and sacrifice, the endless passion to recover what’s lost.

A rewriting of hearts and stories untold, my wounds left open, so raw, so old. But a dawn unfolds like a dream forgotten, and banishes the night into forevermore. Ten thousand years and I will never forget you. On this side of eternity, I cry when the days seem long and sufferable. To bear more than one cross is an irony in a world full of games and money. But to remember God is my only destiny. All the things you ever dreamed of, and all you ever wanted, found in the heart of every soul.
