Redemption

The firmament of time,

Where memories of deep

Shimmer and fade

As we walk into a new millennium

I was lost and undefined

When I gave all I had into words

That would change my life

Forever.

I looked into the mirror

And the girl was far, far gone into the vale of tears

Summer burned in memory lost

Never ending

She lived alone in sapphire nights

Eternal and starless

Holding on

When life turned over

Redemption through mercy

Acceptance

For the first time

I saw dawn break through the darkness

And there was no more fear

We travelled many years in a wilderness unknown

And suddenly, we found everything we were looking for

Grace for grace

A light the darkness could not comprehend

I was redeemed

The end from the beginning

The beginning of eternity…

Surely, we would never be the same

And I was found forever.
