Sunset Voyage

One year fragile

The heart remembers her dreams

It was an age gone by

When desperate desire culminated into fantasy and delirium

We came true at last.

I remember every emotion, every day

We live in memory

Each golden moment treasured in the sun

I found these pieces in your eyes.

These tears stain the walls of an emptied room

Dearly departed, never to be found

I cry into a wilderness so vast and cold,

Remembering the story lost in ancient waters.

It clawed into me

Relentless

Like shooting stars we burned into the endless sea

But we could never end.

May 1, 2015. My life began changing the moment I stepped upon my destined voyage. Since then, nothing has been the same. I experienced a new world, a dream life, and returned with memories and emotions I never knew would be my own. I lost half the summer to tears and the recollection burns like sweet fire to this day.

I spent days and days of blue sunshine writing, searching, praying for peace and deliverance. What chains of sadness held me down. I did not know how to be free.

September 2, 2015. Everything changed once again. I was found at last.

One year from my voyage, God has brought me back to the place my dreams burned black. I was unemployed and drowning in the lusts of the world, as I explored the deep Eastern sea. Now, I am chosen and found in the love of God, in the blessed Eastern land.

O how deep the Father’s love for me, deeper than the ocean that made my dreams come true. He has redeemed my tears.
