If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,” even the night shall be light about me. ~ Psalm 139:9-11

You hem me within your heart, a secret place untouched. The world may come in and tear away at my fragile innocence, but there you have kept me and fashioned my soul. The sins that spot a tired existence, the flesh that flails in winds of hedonism…touch me, O Lord, and set me free.

The blood that falls from cross to soul, mingles with my own and gives birth to eternity. The Spirit flows in newfound acres of peace and divine waters cover over the darkness. I was without form, without God. But in a dream unknown to man, a story was written, and all our names were one.

He found me in my deepest moments and in the great chaos, I found God, the light in my soul. The glorious mystery shatters sense, and like the song of the universe, fills every heart with wonder and yearning for a love beyond time. In the uttermost place, we find souls once lost but forever found, renewed by the blood, and embodied in the endless love of Christ.

The body fades and eyes will one day close upon this blessed earth, but God alone recalls the beating heart. Pulsating through the stars, it finds its way home. A place no man has seen nor fathomed, a place only God knows. Where the sky meets the sea, there at last, you shall find Me.
